ADAPT TO THE CHANGES, POSITION STRATEGICALLY, AND FACE THE FUTURE WITH A SILVER LINING – CLPS TOWN HALL MEETING 2020
CLPS held its annual Town Hall Meeting on May 11 2020, with approximately 300 CLPS staff participated from various business and functional department.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Town Hall Meeting was different from the previous years. CLPS staff across the Company’s geographic subsidiaries and offices, including Shanghai, Dalian, Beijing, Tianjin, Baoding, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore, and India, gathered together via video conference.
The agenda of this year’s town hall meeting revolves around the COVID-19 pandemic, including the international condition after the outbreak six months ago, the changes in the global economy, the Company’s response to the epidemic, and the execution of the planned strategies going forward.
Mr. Raymond Lin, Chief Executive Officer of CLPS, said, “The COVID-19 pandemic was unprecedented. The changes brought about by the pandemic gave rise to the ‘new normal’, being experienced by almost all nations. So far, the most affected industries are transportation, food, retail, and tourism. On the other hand, financial IT services, the industry we are in, has not been heavily impacted. Although we continuously sustain our business growth, we should be aware on our long-term visions to manage the possible effects in the future.”
He added, ” We have faced and overcome many challenges since CLPS was established 15 years ago. We will continue to enhance our abilities, diversify our client base, consolidate the existing business, and further develop our overseas venture, albeit the uncertain future. If we adhere to our strategies, we will be able to minimize the impact of the pandemic and we can maintain our constant growth.”
“This pandemic has profoundly changed our way of life, working habits, and even our way of thinking. In every great change, it means a rebirth. This pandemic has made us realized to further optimize our work process, think logically, and improve our management to unify our domestic and overseas businesses efficiently,” Mr. Lin continued.
Looking back on some critical periods in CLPS’s development, Mr. Lin emphasized that the companies in different stages of development will put forward various requirements from their staff. “CLPS needs more multifaceted talents in the future. The company has the capacity and the platform to provide each staff the opportunity to grow,” he ended.
Mr. Paul Yang, Chairman and President of CLPS, also shared his views. “This pandemic is a test for all of us. We should think in a global perspective to instigate our creativity and initiative. I encourage that everyone should think outside the box, dare to challenge yourselves, and be optimistic. I am looking forward to your greater potential,” he said.
